Ok, so each season we see different trends, some are good, but not all! Some we like, some we don’t! I want to help you navigate the trends a little easier. So we are going to break them down and talk about how to implement some of the trends into our current wardrobes.
Utilizing this simple trick will open up your closet to the possibilities. When dressing with neutrals, it’s easier to use your seasonal accessories to do the heavy lifting in your style. Use your neutral on neutrals as your beginning pallet., and add in some trends, and you’ve got an updated and on trend closet.
So looking at some of the top trends this season after you have incorporated your neutral on neutrals, is so much easier. Don’t be afraid to mix the trends together. Grab that striped shirt and throw on that floral Kimono, add your accessories last and you are out the door. Shirt dresses are huge this season. I love a good shirt dress, they are so easy to dress up or dress down depending on your agenda for the day. You can wear a shirt dress to the office, out for dinner, to the movies or a walk on the beach, it’s so versatile. I have not found a cold shoulder top that I think looks good on me yet, but I like this trend so I will keep looking. The ruffle trend is another trend that I haven’t yet conquered. In order to keep from being overwhelmed by all the trends, pick one, you probably have in your closet already. The fact that any one of these trends looks great with your distressed jeans, may make it easier on you as well.
I love this look, who would have thought some torn jeans could look so good? Don’t be afraid to throw on those booties as well. There is just something about distressed jeans and our booties. Look for open toed booties for spring and summer.
The fact that you have your core wardrobe pieces that are neutral, means the sky is the limit. Mix and match, try different trends alone or together, it’s your stage, go out and break a leg! Putting the finishing touches on is so easy, go grab your favorite necklace and earrings.
My only problem is deciding which one is my favorite for the day.
